Planning Policy
Strategic planning:
In some cases redevelopment is a definite no, in such instances we are able to take a long term view and work with the local authority and often local people in order to secure long term change of use which will be favourable for redevelopment.
National planning guidance:
Government are constantly reviewing planning policy, we keep up to the minute detail of all new and up and coming changes to the planning system and policies. As these national measures always filter back to both regional and local planning guidance we are able to see changes coming and respond appropriately to the changing planning environment.
Regional planning guidance:
Regional policies are reviewed regularly and have a direct impact upon emerging local policies, as such we monitor this regional guidance and ensure that at all times we are fully versed with any impacts which may arise.
Local Planning Policies:
We review and assess local planning policies on an ongoing basis in order to ensure that all our advice/decisions are based upon the latest thinking. We also find any available contradictions and onerous policies which help us secure permissions which wouldn’t normally be granted. We also pride ourselves upon the relationships which we have developed and continue to develop with planning officers at a local level.
